Paradise Harvest Festival

harvest festival

As autumn gets underway we are very excited to celebrate it in (urban) rural style with the lovely guys at Paradise in Kensal Rise. As part of their Harvest Festival on September 28th, we will be griddling away alongside some of your favourite street foodies including Good & Proper tea, Dosa Deli and Mama’s Jerk. Grab a tweed cap and a basket and come join the fun.

Goodwood Revival: bacon rolls and retro revelry

Just about recovered from Wilderness and the Big Feastival, our motley Rainbo team headed down to Goodwood Revival last weekend  for one last slice of festival fun in a field before the wind and rain set in and our most welcome British summer said farewell in proper. We were blessed with crisp but sprightly weather until heavy grey rains set in on Sunday night. But ever the cheerful and devoted crowd, and happily clad in their finest furs and warmest tweeds, the Revival revellers were not perturbed.

As always, it was a beautiful weekend where all the style and craftsmanship of decades gone by was brought brilliantly back to life, with such attention to detail on every level that we had to shamefully hide our own muddy hi-top trainers and skinny jeans well under the counter. We hope no one saw, and dug out our finest retro shirts and handkerchiefs to make up for it. And what better way to mask the fatigue and flog the ubiquitous bacon roll at 7am over the roar of nineteen sixties Aston engines than in retro army camo and polka dots and lace?

Street feast at Dalston Yard: the last hurrah

Hitting the road for summertime festival fun, we have sorely missed our Friday night home Street Feast. It seems only yesterday that Dom and his crew returned  to the Thames Street car park for summer, and in the blink of an eye and the sizzle of a griddle or two, it is now the team’s last weekend in the very special space. The good news: we will be there to celebrate on Friday night, in partnership with Camden Brewery. So get down and see us and let’s give the magical spot the send-off it deserves.

Exciting plans are afoot for Autumn / Winter – we can’t say what yet but Dom, Tweat Up and their team won’t disappoint.
