We are super excited to be part of Background Bars’ six-week festive food and drink extravaganza Night Tales, kicking off next week and bringing you kick ass street food, heart-warming drinks and live DJ sets every Thursday, Friday and Saturday until December 14. By which time you will need a week or two off the fun to detox before the Christmas retox.
We are joining some top foodie friends including Bao, Patty & Bun and Smokey Tails, and we have exciting new treats on the menu. And lots of wintry candles, a firepit and four new oil drums as tables. Things are really looking up.
On Saturday we joined our beloved KERBanists and some exciting new produce suppliers at the new Maida Hill Saturday market just off the Harrow Road. It was a wet start but the sun came smiling out in the afternoon and amid the fresh organic vegetables, stacks of artisan gruyere, authentic Greek breakfasts and old-school kedgeree, not to mention a drop-in gospel choir – check out our Instagram for first hand footage, a very fun and filling time was had by all. Here are some pics, but the best way to see it is by going down there yourself. Move over Portobello: West London Saturdays just got a whole lot funner.
A couple of weeks ago we joined our pals at Engine at the Nokia Lumia Live Sessions by the Millennium Dome. It was a very good evening. No sooner had we unpacked than a huge boat appeared out of nowhere, dropped off hundreds of excited people, Everything Everything sang, our hatches flew open and we didn’t shut until we were griddled to death and clean out of every crumb and morsel. A tidal wave of fun, captured on the Nokia Lumia phone. Here are some pics.
