Rainbo at Pork Life

image

Last weekend we joined the big meaty guns (Smokestack, Bleecker Burger, other carnivirous kings) at Pork Life and Ribstock in Dalston Yard. That car park has seen so much action, feasting and drinking… since the first days of Street Feast there we always feel at home and the vibe is always new and fresh but always consistently buzzing. Pork Life was no exception, and to celebrate we served probably our most traditional dumpling yet: back to basics with a super juicy pork and Chinese chive served with a new and weirdly more-ish maple, sesame and chilli dipping sauce.

It was a perfect weekend and we managed to adopt an inflatable pig so everyone is happy.

Out in the Wilderness

image Wow – doesn’t time fly? It seems like only yesterday we flew off to Wilderness, unpacked the van, sold a tonne of gyoza, packed back up, unpacked and packed some more, moved house and raced to Umbria. There, we slept and ate inordinate amounts and now we are back and ready for autumn on the streets of the capital, making a new home in foodie E17. Meanwhile here are some pics from the festival. We are always too busy to take many but these capture the spirit perfectly. In case you’re wondering, the one of Ben and The Bowlers in identical clothing depicts a purely circumstantial street-food-trader-identikit. I guess that’s what happens when you spend enough time together. And Dave Luardos gets massive props for his spandex, apron and crocs. image image image
